Minoyaki tea cup

345 kr

A Mino ware teacup made with the Mino ware pottery. This is one of the "Kihon-no-Ishitsu" bowl series, which was born from the desire to use Japanese bowls that have different characteristics depending on their origin in their lives. Enjoying the flow of glaze and the distorted shape as an expression, while taking advantage of the unique characteristics of Mino ware that has created Japan's unique pottery culture, we designed it to fit into a modern dining table.

We offer three types of Mino ware glazes, each with its own character:

  • Kairagi – A unique, contracted glaze that creates a textured surface resembling plum bark. Traditionally admired by tea masters for its natural, wabi-sabi charm.
  • Dust Ash – A timeless glaze known for its soft, matte texture and earthy tones that deepen beautifully with use.
  • Oribe Green – A vivid green glaze inspired by Oribe Furuta, offering bold contrast and a rich surface that becomes more expressive over time.

Perfect for both tea and everyday meals, this cup brings subtle Japanese aesthetics to your table.

Since it is finished by hand, there are individual differences in color and shape.

*Microwave can be used.

[Before use]
*In order to prevent dirt from penetrating (fine cracks on the surface), we recommend applying the sealant below.
●Put the rice water and bowl into a pot and heat over medium heat.
●Just before it boils, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes.
●Turn off the heat and let it cool to room temperature while submerged in the water.
●Wash thoroughly and dry thoroughly

[When using]
* Avoid rapid heating and cooling as it is sensitive to sudden temperature changes, and soaking it in water to moisten it before use will prevent stains and odors from forming.

[After use]
*Although it is possible to use the dishwasher, hand washing is recommended to extend its life. Please be careful not to overfill the dishwasher as this may cause damage.
*Please wash with a soft sponge as rubbing too hard with abrasive detergents or metal scrubbing brushes may cause scratches.
*Avoid washing with soaking. After washing, wipe with a soft dry cloth, dry thoroughly, and store in a well-ventilated place.

【important point】
*Please be careful not to chip or crack due to strong impact.
*For your safety, please stop using if there are any cracks or cracks.
*There may be some penetration as you use it, but this will not cause any problem in use, so please enjoy it as a texture.
*Please note that over time, tea or coffee may darken the crackled glaze, creating a natural patina that enhances the expression of the cup.
*Since it is finished by hand, there may be individual differences in color and shape.
