A modern lacquer bowl crafted to suit everyday life. Finished with genuine natural urushi, this bowl is durable enough to be washed in the dishwasher while retaining the deep, quiet elegance of traditional lacquerware.
Developed in collaboration with Shitsurindo, an Echizen lacquerware workshop founded in 1793, this design uses a wood-powder composite base and a specially formulated heat- and pressure-resistant lacquer. The result is a bowl that fits seamlessly into contemporary kitchens without losing the presence of handcrafted urushi.
Its softly rounded form sits comfortably in the hand, with a warm sheen and a discreet gold “七” mark on the base—an understated detail revealed only when the bowl is lifted. The Large size is ideal for generous servings of soup or hearty dishes, and nests neatly with the other sizes in the series.

Care
Not suitable for microwave, oven, or open flame. Avoid metal cutlery. Hand-wash with a soft sponge or use a dishwasher on a mild cycle. Wipe dry after washing and avoid soaking. Urushi naturally lightens over time as part of its aging process.
