A Small Seto-Yaki Teacup That Fits in the Palm of Your Hand
Crafted in collaboration with Mizuyoshi Pottery in Seto, this small teacup—called Koro Yunomi—is inspired by the form of traditional kutsugata (slipper-shaped) tea bowls used in Japanese tea ceremonies. Designed to be held gently in the palm, it invites you to enjoy the warmth of your tea along with the texture of the clay and glaze through all five senses. With a capacity of about 100ml, it's perfect for sipping tea slowly, cup by cup.

Handcrafted charm and a vibrant yellow that stands out on the table
Each piece is shaped by hand after being formed in a mold, giving it subtle variations in form and character. The lively yellow glaze adds a bright accent to your table. Even the foot of the cup is glazed, ensuring a smooth feel in the hands with no roughness.

Seto – Japan’s Premier Ceramic Town
Seto is one of Japan’s most historically significant pottery regions, with over 1,000 years of ceramic production. It is so renowned that the word Setomono has become synonymous with ceramics in Japanese. The area’s high-quality, white-firing clay produces beautifully glazed, expressive pottery.

Care Instructions
• Microwave safe.
• Due to the nature of ceramic, crazing (fine surface cracks) may develop over time, especially when used with dark-colored drinks. This is part of the charm and does not affect use.
• To prevent stains in the crazing, we recommend “medome” treatment before first use:

  1. Place the cup in a pot with leftover rice water.

  2. Heat gently and simmer on low for 15 minutes before cooling in the liquid.

  3. Rinse well and dry completely.
    • Avoid sudden temperature changes (don’t pour boiling water into a cold cup).
    • Dishwasher safe, but handwashing is recommended to prolong life. Avoid overloading.
    • Use a soft sponge; avoid abrasives and metal scourers.
    • Do not soak. Dry thoroughly before storing in a well-ventilated place.
    • As ceramic is porous, moisture may remain inside even if it looks dry. Be sure to dry completely to prevent mold, stains, or odors.
    • Handle with care—strong impact may cause chips or cracks.
    • Discontinue use if cracks appear.
    • Each piece is handcrafted, so slight variations in shape, color, or texture may occur.
