Hanafukin Kitchen Towel | Narcissus

160 kr
A dish towel made by sewing two layers of Kaya-ori, a special product of Nara Prefecture. Large, thin dish towels with coarse mesh are highly absorbent when folded, and dry quickly when spread out to dry.

"Cotton" and "hemp" are natural fibers that become stronger when they absorb moisture. The reason we use this material is that we want it to be used for a long time. By repeatedly washing, it becomes a soft and gentle texture. The more you use it, the more fluffy it becomes, and you can use it until it becomes exhausted.

In addition to dish towels, they can be used for various purposes such as wrapping lunch boxes, straining soup stock, and removing moisture from vegetables.

Please use it in a way that suits your lifestyle.

1. Desizing
The flower dish towels you buy have glue on them. If you want to use it as a dish towel, wash it with warm water and remove the paste before using it. The more you use it, the softer it becomes and the more absorbent it becomes.

2. Desizing laundry
We recommend hand washing with a neutral detergent for the kitchen. If you put it in the washing machine, use a net and gently wash it with a liquid detergent that does not contain fluorescent whitening agents.

3. Boiling disinfection

For stains that cannot be removed by washing, special care such as boiling disinfection or bleaching is performed.

Boiling disinfection

Add a little salt and vinegar to the water, put the cloth in boiling water, and sterilize it by boiling it for about 5 minutes.
