Setowa Small Plate (Amber) | Ceramic Japan
Japanese tableware finished with “Ame” glaze, a traditional glaze long used in Seto.
The S size measures approximately 14 cm in diameter—ideal for side dishes, snacks, or desserts.
Crafted from pottery, each piece evolves with use, developing a richer texture and appearance over time. This natural transformation brings a once-in-a-lifetime charm to every moment of use.
Setowa – Embracing the Essence of Seto Tradition
The Setowa series celebrates the rich heritage of Seto ware, featuring iconic traditional glazes: Oribe (deep green), Ame (warm amber), and Kiseto (soft yellow). Each piece showcases subtle wheel-thrown textures, preserving the artisanal charm of handcrafted ceramics.
Designed with practical depth and a comfortable lightness, these versatile vessels are ideal for soups, stews, and a variety of everyday dishes. Over time, they develop a unique patina, enhancing their beauty and embodying the wabi-sabi aesthetic of impermanence and imperfection.
