Ichihara Ramen Bowl

430 kr

The “Kirihyō” series features a faint, delicate blue hue near the center of the bowl, reminiscent of an icy mirror shrouded in mist deep within a forest.

The icy appearance is achieved through a technique called kan’nyū—a crackle pattern formed during the cooling process after firing. This effect occurs due to the difference in shrinkage rates between the glaze and the base material. The subtle “ping-ping” sound of the kan’nyū forming as the bowl cools is truly mesmerizing.

This bowl is perfectly sized for udon or soba, making it an ideal choice for these dishes

Note: Due to the nature of the manufacturing process, glaze drips or iron spots may be present.
