Face Towel/Daruma Doll
Daruma dolls are an embodiment of Buddhist monk Daruma. It is a lucky charm from the red colour which repels evils and the round shape that rolls back up when fallen. Japanese people wish upon a daruma for success in elections, business, exams and more. It is common to colour only one eye for a wish and the other eye when the wish is granted.
"Kohaku" the combination of red and white are a symbol of celebration and happiness. In Japan it is common to gift a fresh towel on New Year and celebrated occasions.
