Crafted by Minowada Kiln in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture
Minowada Kiln, located in Ishinomaki, operates in a former elementary school building, crafting practical items using locally sourced materials such as clay, Inaiishi stone, husk ash, and scallop shells. Honoring the traditions of Tohoku pottery, each piece is designed to harmonize with modern dining aesthetics.
Handcrafted Variations with Wheel-Turning Fluctuations
Each tabletop pot is meticulously crafted using a potter's wheel, featuring two color options: "Wind Ripple Green," inspired by local winds and waves, and the renowned "Ishinomaki Blue," known for its unique glaze variations. Hand-applied wind ripples ensure each piece is one-of-a-kind. The Ishinomaki Blue exhibits individual color shades due to the glaze's natural fluctuations. Enjoy the natural beauty of these color variations.
