This compact mini pouch is crafted from archive textiles carefully preserved in workshops across Japan. Many of these fabrics feature colours and patterns that can no longer be reproduced today, making each pouch a rare and special encounter. Because the remaining fabric quantities are limited, the line-up is different for each retailer — allowing you to enjoy unique variations that exist only in small numbers.
Giving new life to beautiful archived cloth
The Meguri-nuno series was created to make use of fabrics that had been stored and protected for many years. These are materials rich in regional character, carefully transformed into a new, practical form. Perfect for small essentials such as lip balm, cards, medication, or cosmetics, the pouch brings gentle texture and quiet charm to daily organisation.
Kyoto textiles made with raschel lace knitting
Both colour variations — Kyoto Red (40) and Kyoto Grey (41) — are made using raschel lace knitting, a technique produced in Kyoto. A raschel knitting machine interlaces vertical threads to create a fabric with minimal stretch and a delicate, lace-like expression. The result is a soft, tactile surface with subtle depth, reflecting Kyoto’s refined textile craftsmanship.

With a simple, gusset-free shape, the mini pouch slips easily into any bag without adding bulk. Each piece is individually cut from limited archive fabric, so the pattern placement differs from pouch to pouch — making every item genuinely one of a kind.
