Kaya-Weave Hanging Cloth | NAKAGAWA MASASHICHI SHOTEN
Dyed in gentle, understated colours, this cloth is made using kaya-ori—a traditional open-weave fabric originally used for mosquito nets in Nara. Three layers of cotton kaya cloth are sewn together, creating a piece that becomes softer with each wash, absorbs water well, and is durable for daily use. With a small loop attached, it can be hung for easy drying and quick access.

Care Instructions

Rinse well in water or lukewarm water before first use to remove the starch.

Designs 201–205 can be used with oxygen bleach.

Design 200 (White Lily) can be used with chlorine bleach.

Do not use fabric softener.

Due to the nature of the fabric, strong pulling may cause fraying.

Shrinkage may occur during washing and drying.
