Beckoning Cat Soft Toy – Inspired by Japanese Folk Toys
This soft rattle is modeled after kyōdo-gangu, traditional Japanese folk toys. These toys were originally handmade by potters and woodworkers during breaks, as heartfelt gifts for children.
The beckoning cat (maneki-neko) with its left paw raised is said to invite people in — a symbol of wishing the child a future filled with good friends.
