A hand-thrown Mashiko bowl with a warm cream glaze and bold spiral brush design in iron brown. The brushwork flows dynamically, giving each piece a sense of movement and individuality. Its size makes it versatile—ideal for rice, side dishes, or simply as a display piece of mingei folk craft charm. Designs are sent at random, making each bowl one of a kind.

Dating from the Taishō to early Shōwa era (pre-war), this bowl reflects the Mashiko mingei tradition: pottery made for daily use—practical, durable, yet full of character. The spiral motif, a common element in Japanese ceramics, symbolizes continuity and flow.
