Sori Yanagi Design Iron Frying Pan
A lidded frying pan designed by Sori Yanagi, one of Japan’s most renowned product designers. First manufactured in 1999 and awarded the Good Design Award in 2000, this iron pan combines practicality with timeless Japanese design.
The pan develops natural seasoning with use, creating a smooth nonstick surface over time. The dual spouts allow for easy pouring from either side, and the uniquely shaped lid can be rotated to either seal in steam or create a small gap for draining oil and moisture.
A special surface treatment gives the iron body a distinctive grey finish, improves heat conductivity, resists rust, and makes the pan strong enough to handle high-heat cooking and metal utensils. The textured surface also absorbs oil efficiently, enhancing both cooking performance and durability.
