A pouch made from archive Japanese fabrics
This pouch is made using archive textiles that were carefully stored in workshops across Japan. Many of these fabrics feature patterns or colours that can no longer be reproduced today. Because the remaining quantities are limited, the line-up differs between each retailer — making every encounter with these fabrics a small, one-of-a-kind discovery. Each pouch brings new life to materials that deserve to be used and appreciated again.
Crafted from fabrics with rich regional character
The pouch is created from small batches of archive cloth, each carrying the individuality of its production region. For this collection, we selected two distinct textile techniques.
Kyoto – Grey (Raschel Lace Knitting)
Made on a raschel knitting machine, this warp-knit textile forms a delicate lace-like pattern with minimal stretch. The structure is soft, airy, and subtly expressive — a reflection of Kyoto’s refined textile craftsmanship.
Shiga – Yellow (Flock Printing)
A traditional technique where adhesive is applied to the fabric and fine fibres are electrostatically fixed to create raised motifs. The process requires precision and skill to achieve an even, velvety finish. The result is a textured fabric with a gentle, playful character.
A soft and versatile pouch for daily essentials
The simple square form without a gusset allows the pouch to slide easily into any bag. Its soft cotton texture makes it ideal for small items such as cosmetics, lip balm, sanitary necessities, or masks. As each pouch is cut individually from limited archive fabric, no two pieces share exactly the same appearance — each one carries its own unique expression.
