Each piece is made in Shigaraki, one of Japan's old ceramic kiln regions. The clay and glaze give every cup a slightly different surface, colour and expression, so small variations are part of its character.

Crafted in Shigaraki Town, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, Shigaraki ware is renowned as one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, boasting a rich history that spans over 1,260 years.
In 1976, it was officially designated as a Traditional Craft by the Japanese government.

Do not use in microwave or dishwasher. Avoid sudden temperature changes and soaking for a long time. Dry well after washing.
