Aichi, Japan A collection of animal-shaped porcelain dishes created by textile design duo KATA KATA in collaboration with Classiky.

KATA KATA are known for their bold animal motifs, originally developed through traditional Japanese dyeing techniques such as katazome.

For this ceramic series, the drawings are transferred onto porcelain using inbante, an old transfer-printing method that naturally leaves small variations in colour, line and texture. Made for serving small sweets and side dishes, or simply for holding jewellery, clips and other little things. Each one stands alone, but the different shapes and personalities sit naturally together.
