About the Author: Nancy Seki (1962–2002) Born July 7, 1962, near the Munakata Shiko Memorial Museum in Aomori City. She moved to Tokyo after high school and began carving eraser stamps while studying at Hosei University. Her "Heian Series" caught the eye of Mr. Ichiro Enokido, leading to her debut as an eraser stamp artist in 1984. She was nicknamed "Nancy" by Seiko Ito, an editor at Hot Dog Press at the time, and began her column series "Nancy Seki's Kanji Ippatsu!" She displayed immense talent in her writing as well. She passed away on June 12, 2002, at the age of 39. She is the author of numerous books, including TV Shoto Jikan, Ko Mimi ni Hasamo, and Nancy Seki's Memory Sketch Academy.
