Kuniyoshi Soft Toy | Cat
Inspired by Utagawa Kuniyoshi’s playful ukiyo-e series Cats Suggested as the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido, this soft toy features Mariko, originally depicted as a traditional papier-mâché cat.
Reimagined as a soft niginigi toy, it is made for little hands to hold and squeeze. The outer fabric uses fluffy Senshu towel cloth from Osaka, with a light polyester filling inside.
A lovely Japanese-made baby gift, and equally charming for anyone who loves Kuniyoshi’s cats.
