Kumano Cleaning Brush | NAKAGAWA MASASHICHI SHOTEN

$35

Inspired by traditional altar brushes

This brush was designed with inspiration from the tools used to care for Buddhist altars—made for dusting delicate, treasured objects without damage. Produced in Kumano, Hiroshima, a region known for its brush-making heritage, it features soft, fine goat hair and is shaped for easy handling and reach.

A tool made for precision and softness
Originally intended to clean intricate surfaces of altar pieces, this brush is especially well-suited to tight spaces and delicate items. It reaches into narrow gaps—like those between keyboard keys, along shelves, or behind screens—and gently lifts away dust without scratching. The bristles naturally flex into small crevices with just a light touch.

Thoughtfully designed to stay out in the open
Unlike typical plastic cleaning tools, this brush is made with goat hair, a wooden and brass handle, and a leather hanging strap—allowing it to blend calmly into your interior. It’s designed to be both practical and beautiful, so you can leave it out near your desk or bookshelf for everyday use.
