Hanafukin Kitchen Towel in 100% linen

Uses mosquito net fabric from Nara prefecture

Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten's Hanafuki is a beautiful and functional reproduction of Nara's specialty mosquito net fabric. Taking advantage of the characteristics of mosquito net fabric, such as breathability, water absorption, and quick-drying, they have succeeded in utilizing this material, whose demand has been decreasing with the times, as a beautiful and functional towel.

Excellent water absorption and quick drying

It is about 4 times the size of a general kitchen towel, which is 58 cm x 58 cm, it is thinner than a general kitchen towel and has excellent quick-drying properties because it is made of two coarse mosquito net fabrics.

When folded, it absorbs water well, and when unfolded, it dries easily and can be kept clean.

Fluffy texture the more you use it

The more you wash it and continue to use it, it will become soft and gentle to the touch. Wipe and prepare dishes, wipe the table when you get tired or use as a rag. It is a kitchen that can be used in various ways while changing its texture.

Usable towels can be used anywhere

In addition to wiping dishes, wiping tables, and serving as a normal towel, it is also useful for preparing soup stock and draining vegetables.

As it has good water absorption, it can be used as a towel for everyday use. It dries quickly, so it can be used comfortably even in the humid seasons.

A dishcloth made with one of the Nara's traditional specialties, Kayakiji (mosquito net). Sewn two sheets of Kayakiji together, it is very thin, easy to wipe tiny parts and excellent in water-absorbency. Large mesh of Kayakiji allows it quick-dry. Woven by a shuttle loom which is well-used for several decades, it is soft and has fluffy texture. Its edge is sewn by hand to make it more durable to fray.
The more you wash, the softer it will become.
