Ninjas have been active since the Asuka period. A ninja first and most important mission is to escape. Fighting by using "shuriken" and "ninjutsu", are merely means for getting away, escaping. One of five key escape methods is fire -escape "Katon-no-Jutsu". It is the technique of diverting enemy's attention using fire. Sometimes they use gunpowder.
