A fashion collection, reimagined as a calendar.
CACUMA is an apparel brand created by graphic designer and illustrator Yoshie Watanabe together with Hobonichi. Its original textile patterns were designed for everyday clothing for adults; for this calendar, twelve designs from CACUMA’s archive have been selected and given a new life on paper — one for each month of 2027.
Watanabe is known for bringing illustration and graphic design together, and here the calendar becomes a way to enjoy her patterns beyond clothing. As the months change, so does the artwork on the wall.
For the 2027 edition, every month is finished with gold foil stamping, adding another layer to the printed patterns and making this edition particularly special.
Like D-BROS’ TOMORROWS calendar, the construction is beautifully reduced. Six double-sided A3 sheets hang freely over a slender stainless-steel rod rather than being conventionally bound. A cotton cord is tied to either end and can be adjusted to suit where it is displayed.
