Cast Iron Teapot Natsume S with Wooden Lid | Chushin Kobo
A refined cast iron teapot paired with a solid walnut wooden lid. The marriage of cast iron and wood is both visually harmonious and thoughtfully functional: cast iron provides exceptional heat retention, while the low-conducting wood lid stays gentle to the touch.
The interior is lined with a smooth enamel coating to ensure rust resistance and effortless daily care. With a 600 ml capacity, it is the ideal size for serving two cups of Japanese green tea, black tea, or your favorite infusions.

Care & Usage Guide:
-
Brewing Teapot Only: Designed specifically for brewing and serving tea. Due to the interior enamel lining and natural wood lid, do not heat over an open flame, stovetop, or microwave. (Safe for use with a gentle tea-light candle warmer).
-
Daily Care: After each use, rinse thoroughly with warm water without harsh abrasives or dish soap. Wipe the exterior and interior completely dry with a soft cloth to prevent surface rust.
-
Wood Lid Maintenance: Gently wipe the walnut lid with a damp cloth and allow it to air-dry. Do not soak in water or expose to direct heat.
-
Rust Prevention: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storage. Store in a well-ventilated, moisture-free space with the lid slightly ajar or kept separately.
-
Surface Protection: Natural cast iron and tea tannins can occasionally interact and leave marks on porous surfaces; using a coaster or trivet is recommended.
-
Handcrafted Character: As each piece is cast and hand-finished individually by Yamagata artisans, slight variations in texture, tone, and grain are authentic hallmarks of artisanal craft.
