While Marcel Breuer’s tubular steel chairs were considered, Aalto opted for wooden chairs, which offered a warmer touch and better suited the sanatorium's atmosphere.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Paimio Chair was placed in the lounge area, designed with a reclining angle that eased patients' breathing.
