After glazing, parts of the glaze are carefully shaved away by hand, revealing the natural texture of the clay underneath. This contrast between the matte white glaze and exposed clay gives the surface its distinctive depth and makes the finish slightly different from piece to piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe foot of the bowl narrows gently underneath so the fingers can sit comfortably around it when lifting the bowl. With a generous 900 ml capacity, the L size works especially well for ramen, udon and soba, as well as donburi rice dishes, salads, soups and simmered dishes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSmall variations in the glaze and surface, including iron spots and pinholes, can occur naturally during production and are considered part of the character of the pottery.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSize | Approx.
