Seto is the leading pottery center in Japan, being the first place to use glaze, and the word \"\u003ci\u003eSetomono\u003c\/i\u003e\" (meaning ceramics\/pottery) itself originates from Seto Ware's long history of leading ceramic craftsmanship. This is possible due to its ability to flexibly incorporate technology and culture in line with the changing lifestyles of people throughout the ages.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeto Ware is characterized by its white, beautiful base material, which is reminiscent of Chinese celadon and white porcelain. A variety of glazed products are created utilizing this base. The items in this collection use the traditional glazes Kizeto and Oribe. The ceramic clay uses Kibushi clay, Gaerome clay, and silica sand collected from the Seto Group.
